Where is the cloakroom?

In the lobby, opposite the entrance. It opens one hour before the event and closes 30 minutes after it ends.

What if I arrive late?

The hall doors will be closed. Ushers will try to let you in during a short pause between pieces or during the interval. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the start.

What do the bells mean?

One bell rings 15 minutes before the concert, two bells 10 minutes before and three bells 5 minutes before. The same pattern is used before the interval ends.

When should I clap?

In classical music, people usually do not clap between movements. You can check the programme or simply join the audience's applause.

What can I do in the hall?

Please switch off your phone. Recording, photography, conversations and eating are not allowed.

How long is a concert and interval?

It depends on the programme. Most symphonic concerts have a 20–30 minute interval. Chamber and world music concerts are usually performed without an interval.

Where can I find the concert programme?

Each event has a PDF programme with notes on the music and performers. It is available from the event page one day before the concert.
